- Enactive Cinema: Simulatorium Eisensteinense (pdf) – Simulatorium Eisensteinense explores the very grounds from which the phenomenon of cinema emerges. It is a study of the intrinsic dynamics of a cinema author’s mind in the process of creating a moving image. Adèlen elämä on vuoden 2013 paras elokuva, sanovat bloggaajat
Suomalaisten leffabloggaajien mielestä vuoden 2013 paras elokuvateattereissa nähty elokuva on Adèlen elämä: osat 1 ja 2. Sitä seurasivat tasatahdissa Jahti ja Spring Breakers. Jaetulle kolmossijalle mahtui peräti neljä elokuvaa, eli Ennen keskiyötä, Gravity, Mestari ja Rakkaus.
Neljännen kerran järjestämääni kyselyyn osallistui tällä kertaa 15 elokuvista internetiin kirjoittavaa, puhuvaa tai videoivaa (…) henkilöä.
Kysymyksenasettelu oli seuraava:
Toivon, että kertoisitte mielestänne viisi (5), merkittävintä tai mieleenpainuneinta elokuvaa vuodelta 2013. Parhaus-kriteerin jätän tarkoituksella melko löyhäksi, koska Sight & Soudinkin tyypit teki niin. Vuodella 20123 tarkoitan elokuvia, jotka on ollut mahdollista nähdä Suomessa tämän vuoden mittaan. Siihen kelpaavat siis teatteriesitykset, erikoiset one-offit ja festarinäytökset, kunhan vain kuka tahansa on voinut edes teoriassa päästä katsomaan rainan.
Rajaus on tarkoituksella löyhempi kuin useimmissa muissa vuoden elokuvat -kyselyissä, sillä suomalainen festaritarjonta on aika mainiota ja laventaa leffatarjontaa muikeasti. Siitä seurasi, että viime vuonna Espoo Cinessä nähty ja sitä kautta vuosiäänestyksen kärkisijalle päässyt Rakkaus nousi tänäkin vuonna listalle.
Lisäksi vastaajat saivat nimetä yhden tänä vuonna näkemänsä elokuvan, joka ei sopinut kriteeristöön, mutta oli muusta syystä merkittävä. Niiden listan julkaisen myöhemmin.

We had everybody together, and he was just sort of the force of nature that drove those scenes. When he was in a good mood, everybody in the room was in a good mood. And when he was in a heavy mood, everybody would be kind of heavy and quiet—he just had that kind of power. He could emanate whatever he was feeling just by being. He had that kind of charisma. Whatever he was feeling, you were going to feel it. He was this unstable, mercurial force, and everybody rode on the ocean of his mood.
